3 cookbooks I’m currently loving

I had planned to post a couple travel guides this month, but with the current situation across the world it didn’t feel right. So I thought about things we’re doing at home, and for me, one of the big things is cooking! So I thought I would share with you the books and recipes I’m currently loving and where to find them (if you’d like too).
The Curry Guy Veggie – I don’t know about you, but I LOVE a good curry. It’s probably my number one choice for a takeaway any day of the week. This is Dan Toombs vegetarian book (which I’ve got because I’m a pescatarian), but he also does one for meat lovers here.
Why do I love it? This book has it all! From nibbles for your next dinner party to the main (curry) event to dips, BBQ dishes, and even desserts. I also love that he also includes the ingredients to much-loved spice blends (that I’ve never been sure on how to make before) at the start of the book! A great touch indeed (and very, very useful).
Current favorite… Butter Paneer, one of my absolute favourite curries. Ever.
I can’t wait to try… Dum Aloo (deep-fried potatoes in a creamy, spicy sauce… drool) and chilli paneer stir fry.
Ready Steady Glow – I love all of Madeleine Shaw‘s cookbooks, but this one happens to be one of my all-time favorite recipes for a refreshing soup with is perfect for when the weather starts to warm up.
Why do I love it? This book inspires me to eat more mindfully and therefore a bit more simply, in a way that is better for my body.
Current favorites… Life-changing spicy tomato soup. This soup is so quick and easy to make and is SO delicious and refreshing on a warm day. I love it. Another one to mention is her choc chip cookies.
I can’t wait to try… Smoked beetroot crisps and pan-fried trout with cucumber, apple and dill salad, yum.
Dishoom – Firstly, if you’ve never eaten at Dishoom because you don’t live close to one, then this is the book for you! If you do live close to one, however, then I recommend you eat there (it’s so good) and then get the cookbook and try out your new favorite dishes at home!
Why do I love it? This book is just beautiful. There’s a lovely map of south Bombay, lots of gorgeous pictures, loads of recipes (even drinks!) and the food is amazing.
Current favorites… Masala chai (they also do a chocolate version of this at their restaurants which is delicious), Mattar paneer (a truly indulgent curry that gets me all excited), house black daal and Pau Bhaji (this is so SO comforting in the very best way).
I can’t wait to try… Butter-Bhutta (I love corn-on-the-cob and I love butter so sounds pretty good to me), chilli cheese toast (my mouth is watering just at the thought!) and Gulab jamun (I’m not entirely sure what these are, but they look so good).
